Common Materials
- Iron: Stamping / Printing / Photo Etching
- Zinc alloy: Die-casting
- Bronze: Stamping / Printing / Photo Etching
- Stainless steel: Stamping / Printing / Photo Etching
- Aluminum: Printing / Photo Etching
- Lead tin alloy: Low-temperature zinc alloy spin casting
Advantages & Disadvantages of Iron
Advantages:
①: The material is cheap, suitable for badges and promotional products.
②: Convenient post-processing, simple process, can directly place magnet accessories
Disadvantages:
①: Easy to rust, not suitable for long-term storage.
②: The material is too hard, only suitable for small products, generally not more than 2 inches
③: High mold loss.
Thickness requirements:
Within 1 inch (1.2-3.0MM) / Within 1.5 inches (1.5-3.0MM)
Within 1.75 inches (1.8-3.0MM) / Within 2 inches (2.0-3.0MM)
Advantages & Disadvantages of Zinc Alloy
Advantages:
①: The product image has a wide selection, and any style, including three-dimensional, inner hole, and core pulling, can be made.
②: The material is environmentally friendly, has no edge material, and has low loss.
③: The polishing is fast, and electroplating and electrophoresis can be done.
④: The material has a low melting point of 440°, and can be molded one by one or several times according to the size of the product, with low molding cost.
Disadvantages:
①: The heat ratio is very different from that of copper, iron and nickel, so the post-processing product cannot be baked at a temperature exceeding 120°, otherwise the product will bubble and cannot be used.
②: The product is prone to water marks due to mechanical pressure and mold influence during the production process.
③: The product is easy to deform, the semi-finished product has a short shelf life and is prone to aging.
Thickness requirements:
Within 1.5 inches (not less than 1.2MM) / Within 2.25 inches (not less than 1.5MM)
Within 3 inches (not less than 1.8MM) / Within 3.5 inches (not less than 2.0MM)

The Difference Between Soft Enamel & Hard Enamel
Soft Enamel:
▶ Production process: stamping/die-casting → polishing → electroplating/electrophoresis/painting → coloring → packaging
▶ Advantages: low cost of baking paint and long storage time.
▶ Disadvantages: baking paint products are prone to dust and uneven paint, especially for products with larger areas.
Hard Enamel:
▶ Production process: stamping/die-casting → imitation enamel coloring → grinding stone polishing → electroplating → packaging
▶ Advantages: Imitation enamel products have a smooth surface and bright colors.
▶ Disadvantages: Imitation enamel products are prone to rust and oxidation
