Control of leather label pressing temperature

The temperature at which leather is pressed can be affected by various factors, including the type, thickness, and color of the leather, as well as the pressing equipment used. Generally speaking, different types of leather may require different pressing temperatures. Here are some general temperature guidelines:

1. Genuine Leather:

  • Generally speaking, genuine leather is recommended to be pressed within a temperature range of 380°C to 400°C. Our factory uses temperatures up to 400 degrees because it can make the logo more layered.

Lower temperatures may not allow the logo to be displayed, while excessively high temperatures may cause damage to the dermis.

2.Suede labels

  • Microfiber materials are generally more sensitive to lower temperatures, and the recommended pressing temperature may be between 150°C and 180°C.

Pressure and Time

In addition to temperature, proper pressure and time are also key. Make sure you apply enough pressure at the right temperature, and the pressing time is usually between 5 and 15 seconds.

Testing

Before mass production, it is recommended to conduct some tests. Using similar materials and logos, conduct tests at different temperatures, pressures, and times to find the best hot stamping parameters.

The specific temperature selection will also be adjusted according to the specific pressing process, the characteristics of the equipment used, and the specific requirements of the leather. It is recommended to conduct small-scale testing to determine the optimal pressing parameters before proceeding to large-scale production.

It is important to always follow the specific advice and guidance provided by the manufacturer regarding leather and pressing equipment to ensure that quality is maintained while avoiding damage to the leather.
